GABE STILLMAN AND THE BILLTOWN GIANTS SET FOR DEBUT PERFORMANCE AT THE OLD SCHOOL SQUARE PAVILION

The concert is part of the Blues on the Square series.

The Blues on the Square outdoor concert series at the Pavilion presents Gabe Stillman & The Billtown Giants with their energetic brand of blues music on Thursday, May 25th at 7:30 p.m.  Gates open at 6:30 p.m.

The Pavilion is located on the center grounds of the Old School Square campus at 51 N. Swinton Avenue in downtown Delray Beach.  Admission is $5 at the gate.  For concert information, visit OldSchoolSquare.org.  Blues on the Square is sponsored by Old School Bakery and Lagunitas.

Based in Williamsport, PA and hot off a successful tour that took them to Asheville, Nashville and Memphis, where they participated in the International Blues Challenge, Stillman and the band are excited to be making their first appearance in the South Florida Blues scene. “Gabe is a bona fide ‘old soul’ with the blues guitar,” says President and CEO of Old School Square, Rob Steele. “He cares more about the authenticity and tenacity of the music he plays, than he does about his next breath.  The speed and spirit of his musicianship is worth the ticket.”

Gabe Stillman & The Billtown Giants are known for their dynamic performances that showcase the band’s musical prowess and depth of passion for playing the blues.  Fronted by Stillman on guitar and vocals, the band also features Colin Beatty (Bass) and Joel B. Vincent (Drums).  The trio has quickly risen on the Pennsylvania regional scene and is gaining momentum and far-reaching accolades thanks to performances at the Lancaster Roots & Blues Festival, the Destination Blues Fest, the Billtown Blues Festival and more.

The band was formed in 2015 by Stillman, who is a Berklee College of Music graduate and Uptown Music Collective alumni.  The Uptown Music Collective is a nonprofit school of music based in Williamsport, PA. In the short time that Stillman has been performing professionally he has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with world-class blues acts such as Chicago powerhouse, Toronzo Cannon and Legendary blues and roots band, The Nighthawks.  Regionally, The Billtown Giants regularly play to standing-room-only crowds of appreciative blues fans.

While the trio’s sound is unmistakably rooted in American Blues, the band draws from influences of soul, R&B, and funk.  Gabe Stillman and the Billtown Giants’ mission for every performance is to give their all, give their best, and engage those who gave of their time and money to experience the band for an evening of entertainment.  For more about the band, their performance schedule, latest band news, and social media links visit www.gabestillman.com
